Jacob Zuma is a legend in his own right. I appreciate his nonchalant approach to life. But really if we are to talk real state capture, can we start with the Afrikaner Broederbond.

I read somewhere that if people take you for granted, it is a compliment because it means that you are consistent. While it is a compliment to you, it is a danger to them; because what is consistently taken for granted will eventually be taken away.

This stuck with me because I think everyone at some point feels as if they are taken for granted,…[Read more]

We live in a world where so much emphasis is placed on developing systems. And yet the one thing that lacks the most is the development of society.

I really wonder what requirements SA police need to meet to get the jobs they have. Maybe boiling a kettle and knowing how to remove extra dough inside of fate cake

Why do South Africans destroy infrastructure when they protest? It’s really strange

What do you think most people that you know would choose between 10% power over one million people or 100% power over 10 people?

  • Blackness posted an update 2 weeks, 1 day ago

@brutallyblunt conflict is about power hey? Everyone needs a bit of power here and there but why do some people want so much of it? What does it give them that they don’t have?

    • See, the pertinent question is why do they want power to begin with. Those who have been oppressed now live to oppress, but this time their own. This power they chase gives them a sense of justice, the justice they never had from those that made them slaves.

July coming up, new month, new hope. Let’s talk conflict why is there so much conflict in Africa? In politics, within the same party, over resources, over almost anything ? Let’s talk conflict

      • A divided Africa will never stand. But maybe the problem is that our differences dont allow us to build together because everyone is trying to get their way.
        • Americans have the Amerian dream and the pride of their Army. The English have the standard of Great Britain to live up to. Germany has a reputation of precision and order they fight for, China has discipline, Japan has order and hard work. Thina we have ama piano 👀
          • @TheGuy. People are hungry for justice, power is a means to appease that hunger and it’s perfect because it affects everyone. It was really about power, there would be very little reason for them to abuse it because what would they have against their abusers?

Why do we black people enjoy spending money on tangible and quite frankly stood things. I’d say it’s because we are afraid of the commitment trying to do better with the money because there is a high probability of failing

The toxic work culture will be the death of modern humans. With the emergence of the 4th industrial revolution and the wave of cellphones with email, word and apps that make working easier; a significant shift has occurred in work culture and the associated expectations. Previously, when you left work, you had no access to a computer or laptop,…[Read more]

State of the nation address. I wont take Mr Ramaphosa seriously, until he takes care of Ace Magashule. Cyril can say whatever he wants tonight at the SONA but Ace will wake up tomorrow and just change the focus to what he wants.

              • Eish. You have a point there. However the guy not to take seriously is Ace because he is a talk shop, and is often more surprised by what came out of his mouth than anyone else.

Should days like June 16 mean anything to white people?

                • Yes, it is a day of remembrance of the youth uprising that changed the socio-economic landscape of the country. Is the goal to put black people in a box, white people in their own box, colored, asian indian? Then expect that each box has their own meaning towards political holidays? Often we forget that they are some, may be few in comparison to…

                  • I hear you but let’s look at it like this. Black South Africans are proud when they remember June16, and primarily because it was a moment where they fought for a common goal as one. Now it is true that there were some white people who aided the fight against apartheid but what does reason does the majority of white people have to celebrate when…

                • @theguy I do understand your point, but Black South Africans aren’t necessarily proud. If anything most of the youth believe its a day to celebrate being young, and that sentiment does not stem from ignorance. We make these public holidays to show homage to significant events in our history. But really people just end up asking “how was the long…

M truly shocked by the amount of small talk on Twitter. The west is at it again sidetracking Africans to talk about celebrities that have nothing to celebrate when there’s serious things to discuss

                  • People are easily distracted, it takes no time for them to skip from one point of focus to another. But what’s more intriguing is that people dont seem to take South Africa’s progress personally. There is no sense of citizenship at all
                      • so typical of colonized people. Thy wait for someone to shape their destiny, and when it is too late they complain that the other person is evil, yet they don’t do anything to shape their own destiny. There is a price to pay for being spectators.
                      • Hahahahaha the problem is the fight for freedom stops in people heads. The first issue in South Africa was this idea that everything stolen from black people would be returned. This just created a sense of complacency in the minds and hearts of South Africans. Secondly, the promises made to the people of SA by the ruling party also had an effect.…
