It depends. We theoretically have equal opportunity. Real mobility comes with financial empowerment.
So in essence financial empowerment provides the “openness” that one perceives.
I believe so. Poverty restricts one’s “openness” tremendously.
Think of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. If one’s basic needs are not met, how does one achieved higher order needs such as esteem etc.
Its hard to say cause in an open society people get to make choices and in a closed society choices are made for them. Were are we?
