Jacob Zuma is a legend in his own right. I appreciate his nonchalant approach to life. But really if we are to talk real state capture, can we start with the Afrikaner Broederbond.

I read somewhere that if people take you for granted, it is a compliment because it means that you are consistent. While it is a compliment to you, it is a danger to them; because what is consistently taken for granted will eventually be taken away.

This stuck with me because I think everyone at some point feels as if they are taken for granted,…[Read more]

The toxic work culture will be the death of modern humans. With the emergence of the 4th industrial revolution and the wave of cellphones with email, word and apps that make working easier; a significant shift has occurred in work culture and the associated expectations. Previously, when you left work, you had no access to a computer or laptop,…[Read more]

@theguy I do understand your point, but Black South Africans aren’t necessarily proud. If anything most of the youth believe its a day to celebrate being young, and that sentiment does not stem from ignorance. We make these public holidays to show homage to significant events in our history. But really people just end up asking “how was the long…

What is the difference between sitting around a fire telling tales, stories and communicating about community leaders or prominent people in the community, and the use of fourth revolution platforms with hi speed access. Exactly that, the high speed and large access. Human beings want to be entertained, just because an individual watches tv for 1…

Yes, it is a day of remembrance of the youth uprising that changed the socio-economic landscape of the country. Is the goal to put black people in a box, white people in their own box, colored, asian indian? Then expect that each box has their own meaning towards political holidays? Often we forget that they are some, may be few in comparison to…

      • I hear you but let’s look at it like this. Black South Africans are proud when they remember June16, and primarily because it was a moment where they fought for a common goal as one. Now it is true that there were some white people who aided the fight against apartheid but what does reason does the majority of white people have to celebrate when…

      A Story of True Wealth:
” One day, a rich father took his son on a trip to the village. Hw wanted to show him how poor some people can be. They spent time on the farm of a poor family. On their return from the trip, the father asked his son “How was the trip?” and he replied “It was great, Dad”. “Didi you see how poor people live?’ the father…[Read more]

      • Firstly, can we just say that the young man is WOKE. But it’s a really good story. It’s become so natural to replace the purpose of certain things in our lives with money, perhaps we do so because we feel more secure because we have control over it and not other humans. Sad but telling of the consistent nature of human.

        Caution, sensitive topic.

Is abortion murder? Should South Africa enforce laws against abortion?
(NB: I have not reflected my opinion in this statement, I would like to propose the discussion before I engage.)

Abortion is by far one of the most controversial topics. Needless to say, there are people on both ends of the spectrum and all in between when it comes to the question of whether or not abortion constitutes murder. The definition of murder transcends the law of man, and is determined by the law of nature, nature’s true God, and His Word. Before h…

        • What a question @thirdeye. My opinion is that abortion is murder and that’s that. Aside from any religious context murder is murder. However, people who believe to the contrary would argue that if it can be justified then it is not murder. And some take it even further by saying no one can dictate what a woman can or cant do with her body.

          The…

People are suffering all over the world @325iiisgush , it is painful and in my eyes unfair. I do not understand why humans have designed a system where people can suffer to such extremes. Now I ask, @theguy, I agree that it is not the sole responsibility of the government. No one in this world is responsible for anyone, but it is empathy that…

To my understanding, this does not only occur in low income areas. ATMs are closed dependent on the level of security. If the atm is within a mall, that has 24 hour security, boom gates and cameras, it is likely to remain open until late. If the atm is located in a free access area, with little to know security, it is likely to be closed. For good…

@kwena, Well, that may be YOUR interpretation of my confession but that is not what I am saying at all. I do not think anyone who is discriminatory is supreme, white, black, asian, coloured. Discrimination is ignorance or in its worst form, stupidity. The point I am making is that we as black people complain about racism and campaign for equality,…

Digital Innovation is essential. The quality of the App and usability is everything. I have not visited a standard bank branch in over two years. Everything, even opening a saving account or changing limits can be done on your phone. Human interaction is becoming less and less valuable.

Confession #10: Tribalists and Racists, same whatsapp group.

Discrimination is discrimination. Believing that someone is ‘less than’ because of their culture, language or origin is as bad as being racist. I am so sick and tired of black people complaining about racism yet behaving so discriminatory themselves. Fighting for equality, yet thinking…[Read more]

          • Thirdeye, what you say is so on point except that you sound like we need white people approval to be. Your point regarding white seem to suggest that white people are supreme and therefore exemplary in everyway – however the truth of the matter is that they are divided as any other racial group. Our social challenges are the same challenges they…
